Following concerns raised by many members of the community, Hollingbourne Parish Council has been working with our KCC Councillor and the Highways Improvement Team over the last 12 months on an extension of the 20mph limit for the village.
Over the years there have been many informal community driven initiatives, and we are now in the process of consolidating and formalising all of these projects for KCC to facilitate their statutory consultation process.
There are five formal stages that need to be completed, before implementation/refusal of the proposed extension of the 20mph limit:
- Parish Council Pre Consultation 7-10 days
- KCC Assessment
- Drafting & Legal Preparation (TRO)
- Formal TRO Consultation Statutory 21 day public consultation period.
- Review of Objections / Comments
